Two people were hurt, with one suffering serious injuries, in a Monday morning crash involving a small plane at Glacier Park International Airport.
Three other people on the plane were not injured.
A twin-engine Beech Baron with five people on board made a hard landing at about 9 a.m., veering off the southern end of the runway to the west, according to Airport Director Cindi Martin.
The seriously injured person and another plane occupant who suffered minor injuries were transported by ambulance to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
Martin said the runway and the airport were closed shortly after the crash but reopened at 10:11 a.m.
She said that no commercial airline flights were interrupted by the incident because flights had already departed and there were no arrivals scheduled while the airport was closed.
The incident will be investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board.
Multiple fire departments responded to the accident scene at the airport.
The Associated Press said that the airplane is registered to KSZT LLC in Sandpoint, Idaho. Air Idaho Charters of Sandpoint has a photo of the plane on its website.
