Basketball: Lady Loggers fall in home opener

LIBBY — The Libby girls couldn’t hold on to a first-half lead, falling at home to Bonners Ferry 36-29 in a nonconference basketball game on Tuesday night.
Shyla Stevens led the Lady Loggers with 11 points, including five in the second quarter to give Libby a 18-17 halftime lead. The Loggers dominated the first half, scoring 11 points in the first quarter, but were stymied after the break, scoring just 11 points in the last 16 minutes.
McKenzie MacDonald led Bonners Ferry with nine points.
