NIC basketball coaches, players to hold holiday camp
Boys and girls of all ages are invited to attend the 2013 North Idaho College Holiday Basketball Camp taught by NIC coaches and players Dec. 30 - 31 and Jan. 2
Camp participants will learn fundamental skills and individual drills to make them better players. Dec. 30 - 31 are all-day sessions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a one-hour sack lunch break. The Jan. 2 session will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The cost of all three sessions is $80 per camper, which will include a T-shirt.
All camp instruction will be in Christianson Gym on NIC's main campus. Space is limited and the deadline for entry is Dec. 26.

No. 1-ranked NIC faces ranked two teams this week
COEUR d'ALENE - The North Idaho College wrestling team, ranked No. 1 in the National Junior College Athletic Association, hosts three duals this week.
On Friday, the Cardinals host No. 2-ranked Northwest College at 7 p.m., at Christianson Gymnasium. NIC then faces No. 4 Clackamus on Saturday at noon, followed by Southwest Oregon at 2 p.m.
The Cardinals boast three No. 1-ranked wrestlers: Jeremy Golding (149), Nico Moreno (157) and VJ Giulio (197).
Idaho's Barr wins second All-WAC Conference honor
Idaho junior guard Stacey Barr was named Western Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 2-8. This is her second WAC Player of the Week honor of the season and her career.
The Melbourne, Australia, native helped propel the Vandals to a 2-1 record last week, lending two 20-point performances. In Idaho's lone home contest, she was the only Vandal to score in double digits, totaling a game-high 20 points on 6-of-8 shooting, to go along with eight rebounds. In Idaho's loss to Montana, Barr totaled eight points and seven rebounds.
