Bad roads claim life of Plains resident

Plains resident, Patricia S. McDougall, died in a two-vehicle crash that took place near the National Bison Range on Monday morning. McDougal died at the scene of the crash at mile marker 6 at 10:50 a.m.
According to Montana Highway Patrol officials, speed was a factor in the crash. McDougal's vehicle was headed northbound when it lost control and went into a broadside skid into the path of a vehicle headed southbound.
The accident took place on Highway Secondary 212 with the closest town as Charlo.
The crash report stated the roads were snowpacked and icy.
