Who benefits from chiropractic care? Everyone! Everyone is better off under chiropractic care because the chiropractic adjustment removes the interference in the nervous system by removing subluxations in the spine. Removing subluxations maximizes the communication between the brain and the tissue of the body, allowing for an optimum level of health and function.

What is a subluxation? It is the misalignment of the vertebrae of the spine, resulting in abnormal biomechanics as well as nerve root interference. This causes accelerated wear and tear or degenerative changes at that level, and alters the communication between the brain and tissue innervated at that level. A subluxation results in dis-ease processes each and every time.

There are many ramifications of having subluxations in your spine. The most obvious is localized inflammation at the joints and nerve root at the level of the subluxation, resulting in pain and/or other symptoms. The second is altered biomechanics, resulting in accelerated wear and tear and aging of the spine at the level of subluxation. The third is interference to the communication from the brain to the tissue innervated by the involved spinal nerve, leading to a decrease in function of that tissue. When you have multiple levels of subluxation in the spine, the result is an overall lowered immunity.

How does an adjustment help? First, by correcting the subluxation, the body stops the inflammatory processes at the joint and nerve roots. The result is the symptoms go away. Second, by correcting the biomechanics of the spine and increasing the mobility of joints, the accelerated wear and tear and aging of the spine is decreased. The third benefit of the adjustment is improved communication between the brain and the tissue, resulting in optimum function and optimum chance for health and longevity of that tissue. Finally, by correcting multiple subluxations, the adjustment stimulates the nerve system, which results in a better overall immunity.

It is critically important to have your spine checked to see how chiropractic adjustments can give you your best chance for optimal health, function and longevity.

Headaches and holistic care

Headaches are incredibly common and affect nearly 45 million Americans each year. That's about one in every six people. Unfortunately, most people turn to medication for temporary pain relief. Studies have shown that pain medication can cause adverse effects and kidney or liver. Worse yet, they don't even correct the underlying cause of the headache.
