Manta Rays fourth at Christmas Invitational

WENATCHEE - The Moses Lake Manta Rays traveled to Wenatchee recently to compete in the Christmas Invitational.
The team took fourth place overall with several swimmers qualifying for championship meets.
Zachary Washburn was the high point winner in the boys 10 and under age group. Washburn took first place in six events, second place in two events and third place in one event.
With his performance, Zachary Washburn qualified for the Age Group Regionals and Zone Championships.
Cora Dana had a solid performance with wins in three events, taking second in five events and third in one event in the 11 and 12 age group. Dana qualified for the Washington Open Sr. Meet this January in Federal Way along with ShyAnne Speed and Jordan Richeson.
Megan Washburn took first in the 1,000 free in the girls 15 and over age group. She also recorded a second, third and fifth place finish in other events.
Other top six finishers included Halle Johnston, Jeremiah Johnston, Jessica Landberg, Jordan Pack, Richeson, Speed, Hailey Tolliver, Christopher Vidrine and Jessica Williams.
Williams, Landberg, Speed, Megan Washburn, Zachary Washburn and Dana also qualified for the Inland Empire Championships.
