Baker bulb outs

First, a huge thank you to our hard-working road crews who get up at the crack of dawn to plow and sand our Whitefish streets. Also for the very fine job they did on the sidewalks on the viaduct and Baker Avenue.

However, I can’t understand why they were directed to make bulb outs on both corners of Baker and First Street. These will back up traffic both north and south when waiting for a left-turning vehicle.

Not forward thinking at all. The city council or our so-called expert from Portland?
