Two Columbia Falls runners competed in the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships Western Regional at Mount San Antonio College, in Walnut, Calif. on Dec. 7.
Junior Samantha Mundel finished 33rd in the girls junior 5K, finishing in 21:32.8. Senior James Ratzlaff was 94th in the boys senior 5K, finishing in 19:08.5.
The winner of the girls seeded race was Makena Morley, of Bigfork, who ran the course in 18:06. Morley qualified for the national championships in San Diego, Calif. No boys from Montana qualified for nationals.
