MOSES LAKE - Two suspects who allegedly stole an "armful" of clothing from a downtown Moses Lake business last week were caught Saturday, both driving stolen vehicles.
About 7 a.m. Saturday, Grant County deputies and Moses Lake police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. A deputy was able to find and stop the driver of the vehicle, as well as another vehicle near Road K Northeast near Moses Lake, according to reports.
The drivers of the vehicles, Daniel J. Pulliam, 27, of Soap Lake, and Chenell A. Wolfe, 28, of Ephrata, were recognized by officers as the suspects in a theft Dec. 11 from Bella Boo & Livi Lou's on Third Street in Moses Lake. It's where Wolfe allegedly ran out of the store with merchandise and fled in a vehicle driven by Pulliam. Employees at the store were able to pull video and photos from surveillance cameras following the theft.
During searches connected to the arrest of the suspects, including the vehicles and an Ephrata property, officers were reportedly able to connect Pulliam and Wolfe to several vehicles prowls, vehicle theft, forgeries, possession of narcotics and a burglary, according to Moses Lake police. These alleged crimes were from Chelan, Douglas and Grant counties.
Most of the stolen children's clothes from last week's theft were also recovered in the search.
Pulliam was booked on suspicion of second-degree theft, second-degree possession of stolen property, possession of a stolen vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle and third-degree driving while license suspended.
Wolfe has been booked on suspicion of second-degree theft, second-degree possession of stolen property and criminal conspiracy theft of a motor vehicle.
