Glacier to induct 25 student-athletes to HOF

Glacier High School will induct 25 individuals from the class of 2013 to its Hall of Fame on Saturday afternoon.

The ceremony will take place in the school gymnasium 30 minutes prior to the Great Falls High School versus Glacier girls basketball game, which is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.

Glacier finished third in 2013 in the all-sports trophy race in Montana and was selected as a top 10 percent school nationwide by U.S. News and World Report.

The past five GHS classes had 36 individuals inducted.

This year’s class of inductees is listed below.

Jackson Barber — A three-time state placer in wrestling, he claimed a state championship at 160 pounds his senior season. He was a member of the Wolfpack Club and 4.0 graduate. He is currently pursuing a degree in pre-med at Concordia College and wrestling for the Cobbers at 174 pounds.

Kellen Bates — A four-time state singles tennis champion, he posted a sterling 64-0 record during his prep career. The Wolfpack won the state title his senior year. Bates was a merit scholar and graduated summa cum laude. He is currently playing tennis at the University of Indiana and taking general studies.

Jordan Bridwell — Excelled in choir and received All-Northwest recognition and all-state honors for choir. Bridwell lettered eight times in choir, basketball and tennis. He graduated with honors and received academic all-state mention multiple times. He is currently studying pre-pharmacy in the scholars program at Flathead Valley Community College.

Dani Crandell — A three-time all-state selection in band, she also received All-Northwest recognition. Crandell was a National Merit Finalist and lettered in soccer for the Wolfpack. She is currently attending the University of Montana with a double major in music and psychology. She is part of the Davidson Honors College at UM and was selected to play in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, which is UM’s top musical group.

Anna Deleray — A standout on the pitch, she garnered all-state recognition in soccer and participated in the Senior Showcase and Shodair Soccer Classic events. She placed multiple times in the middle distance events in track. Deleray was a summa cum laude graduate, won the Alpha Female Award, was the STEM Club president, participated in the Wolfpack Club and was a member of the National Honor Society. She is currently studying chemical engineering at the Colorado School of Mines.

Ryan Edwards — An all-state first team basketball selection his junior and senior seasons, he also participated in the Montana-Wyoming All-Star Classic. Edwards was a 10-time letter winner in basketball, volleyball (manager) and tennis. He is majoring in special education and playing basketball at Gonzaga University.

Troy Fraley — Earned all-state honors in cross country four times and placed in the top three at state in both the 1,600 and 3,200 in track. His top running performance was a second place showing in the prestigious Foot Locker Western Regional. He holds three school records and was named academic all-state each semester in high school. He is currently studying pre-physical therapy at Gonzaga and is a member of the cross country team.

Hunter Garbacz — Earned varsity letters in football (defensive end), speech and debate and was the school’s student body president. Garbacz was also a state champion in legislative debate and a two-time national qualifier. He was a three-time national qualifier in DECA and a member of the speech and debate teams that won three consecutive state titles. Garbacz is studying political science and international relations at George Washington University.

Kyle Griffith — Received the Alpha Male Award last spring after being named all-state in football as a receiver and kicker multiple times. He also received all-state recognition in basketball and was a state track champ in the long and triple jumps. He earned 10 varsity letters, was president of the National Honor Society and a merit scholar. He currently attends Carroll College, studying pre-med and participating in football and track.

Rial Gunlikson — Enjoyed a stellar career in football, earning all-state honors as a safety and played in the East-West Shrine and MonDak games. He was a state placer in track in the triple jump and received academic all-state recognition as well as being a member of the National Honor Society. He is majoring in business healthcare and informatics at Montana Tech and is a member of the Orediggers football team.

Keckeley Habel — Received a total of 13 letters in theatre, orchestra, speech, tennis and cross country. She was a state champion in speech as well as a national qualifier. Habel participated in student council and graduated summa cum laude. She currently attends St. Lawrence University and is studying chemistry.

Logan Iverson — The first Glacier athlete to earn four varsity letters in a single year (basketball, tennis, golf and football). He was a 10-time letter winner overall. Iverson excelled in golf, placing all four years at state to earn all-state honors. His best finish was third place. He was also a member of the state championship golf and tennis teams. Iverson is studying business at Colorado State and is a member of the golf team.

Devin Jeffries — Collected first-team all-state defensive football honors as a lineman, was named the Western Conference MVP and participated in the East-West Shrine and MonDak games. Jeffries also lettered in track and was vice pesident of the Wolfpack Club. He is currently playing football for Montana State and is majoring in exercise science.

Katya Kulikova — Was a four-time state placer in tennis and an individual singles champion in 2012. She was a national qualifier in DECA, a member of 2011 state championship tennis team, on the 2013 We the People team, a member of the National Honor Society and received academic all-state mention. She is studying pre-dentistry at New York University.

Tanner Maroney — Earned varsity letters in soccer multiple years, was a two-time individual state speech champion and a four-time national qualifier. He also won All-American speech honors last summer, received the Founders Degree in theatre and participated in every all-school production during his high school career. Maroney is attending the Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute in New York.

Kaleb Mitchell — A four-time state placer, he won an individual state mat title his senior season at 140 pounds. He was a member of the 2012 state championship wrestling team, lettered in football and graduated with a 4.0. He is attending the Colorado School of Mines and is studying engineering.

Matt Peters — Lettered six times in two sports: soccer and basketball. He was an all-state soccer player and played in the Senior Showcase after his senior season. He is currently majoring in business at Montana State.

Ryan Porch — An outstanding golfer, he was a three-time state placer and a runner-up twice. Porch lettered six times in golf and tennis. He is currently playing golf at the University of Idaho and majoring in business and marketing.

Levi Proctor — Was a state champion in policy debate and a member of the 2012 and 2011 state championship squads. He was a state champion in DECA and BPA and a merit scholar. He earned five letters in activities.

Marysa Rogozynski — Earned seven letters in softball, volleyball (manager) and basketball (manager). She was treasurer of the Wolfpack Club and French Club and a member of the National Honor Society. She is currently playing softball at the University of Jamestown and studying psychology.

Reid Siderius — Excelled in football, earning all-state honors on defense as a cornerback and participated in the East-West Shrine and MonDak games. Siderius also was a member of the National Honor Society, Wolfpack Club and lettered in basketball. He attends Montana Tech, where he is majoring in biology and playing football.

MaKenna Siebenaler — Had an outstanding career in swimming, placing 16 times at the state meet. She was a member of the state championship speech and debate team and earned a total of 12 letters for volleyball, swimming, track, theatre and speech. Siebenaler, a 4-0 student, is attending the University of Notre Dame and majoring in biology and psychology.

Logan Streit — Was a member of two state championship relays in swimming and placed at state several times in the sprints. He earned seven letters in swimming and track, participated in student council, Wolfpack Club, and received a superior rating in orchestra. He is currently a member of the Whitworth University swim team and is studying physical therapy.

Veronica Walton — Graduated with a 4.0, was a two-time state champion in doubles tennis and placed twice two other years. She helped lead the Wolfpack to back-to-back state championships (2010-11) and was a member of the National Honor Society. She is studying psychology at Montana State University.

Jena Willis — Was an all-state softball player (infiedler) for the Wolfpack and graduated with honors. She is currently attending Crown College, studying pre-med while participating in softball, soccer and basketball.
