An 18-year-old Billings man has pleaded not guilty to a trio of burglary charges after the case was transferred to Flathead District Court from juvenile court.

Casey Ehrlick is alleged to have burglarized four Whitefish properties between May 20 and 22, taking two laptop computers, a desktop computer, an iPad, two one-gallon jugs full of dimes and a 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup truck.

The pickup truck was later located, with the driver fleeing from police and eventually running on foot.

That driver, who was found and arrested, was identified as Andrew Dlask. Dlask has since pleaded not guilty to three felony counts of burglary as well as felony theft and felony criminal mischief.

A court document says Dlask told Whitefish officers he had arrived in Whitefish on May 19 with Ehrlick, and that duo had committed the burglaries together.

On May 26, Ehrlick appeared at the Flathead County Detention Center to turn himself in to speak with an officer about the investigation, the document states.

If convicted of all three charges, Ehrlick faces up to 60 years in the Montana State Prison and a fine of up to $150,000 as well as any restitution.

He is currently incarcerated in the county jail, where he is being held on a $15,000 bond. His next hearing is set for March 5, 2014.

Dlask is currently being held on a $50,000 bond. His next hearing is set for Jan. 29, 2014.
