DILLON — Salish Kootenai College’s women’s basketball team completed a sweep of the University of Montana-Western’s JV team over the weekend.

They beat the Bulldogs 69-45 on Saturday and again on Sunday, 66-54, despite falling behind by double figures early in the contest.

The Bison again relied on the hot hand of Chantel Jenkins, who scored 14 and 17 points in the two-game set.

Latydia Holiday scored 22 points on Saturday night and tacked on another 10 on Sunday, and Eva Green, Cecelia Koskela and Katie McDonald added double-digit efforts as well.

“The ladies played really well,” said coach Juan Perez, who noted that only seven of the Lady Bison traveled this weekend due to the end of the term. “… They played together and [they played] smart.”
