WARDEN - Warden police are investigating a shooting Wednesday night that sent a Moses Lake man to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
About 9 a.m. Wednesday, police received a call from the Euro Restaurant and Lounge on South Main Street. The bartender at the business reportedly heard two gunshots outside the bar, according to police.
Arriving officers located Alfredo Mendoza, 31, standing outside the bar with a cut to his lip. Officers believe Mendoza may have been involved in a physical altercation. Mendoza was checked by Grant County Fire District 4 emergency medical technicians and declined treatment.
About 10 p.m., Junior Ramos, 35, from Moses Lake, arrived at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake with a single non-life threatening gunshot wound to his upper arm. He had reportedly driven to the hospital in a private vehicle, police said.
Police believe the physical altercation and shooting are related. It is not clear at this time if the incident is gang-related, but Mendoza and Ramos have been affiliated with the same criminal street gang, according to police.
No arrests have been made at this time and Warden police are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Warden police at 509-762-1160.
