Dog, owner solve ice problem on their own

The Bigfork Fire Department got a report Sunday about a dog that fell through the ice on the Swan River. The dog was apparently able to get itself out with the help of its owner, and the fire department was called off.
The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday about a Christmas party on Foy’s Canyon Road where an upset woman pushed her husband off of a deck before she left by herself.
A woman called from a West Reserve Drive residence to report that her adult son had “gone off his rocker” and was causing a disturbance. The parties involved were separated.
There was a report of two pit bulls getting into a fight at a kennel on Trumble Creek Road. The dogs were severely injured, requiring that they be transported for emergency care.
A man calling from Orchard Ridge Drive reported that two people entered his house while his sons were downstairs. The man said he found tracks in the snow leading away from the house, and he was unsure if anything had been taken.
There was a report of a wallet stolen at a store on U.S. 2 in Evergreen.
A person calling Kalispell Police from Fifth Avenue East Sunday reported that someone in a white pickup was driving through a yard, causing damage. The driver was caught and arrested for criminal mischief.
A woman calling from a location on U.S. 93 South reported that a familiar but unwanted man was standing outside of her window staring at her before walking away.
Whitefish Police got a call at about 5 a.m. Monday from a Minnesota Avenue resident who said her boyfriend was in her house breaking a bunch of stuff. She eventually locked the man, who was very intoxicated, outside the house and the two were separated after an officer arrived.
Columbia Falls Police made a traffic stop Sunday on Nucleus Avenue, and a man in the vehicle tried to run away from the officer.
