A Whitefish woman died Friday in a 10-vehicle accident west of Spokane.
Jean Amidon, 52, died at the scene when her Honda Pilot was pinned between two semi trucks in the chain-reaction accident.
The crash occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 seven miles east of Ritzville, Wash., according to a report from the Washington State Patrol.
The patrol report said Amidon’s vehicle rear-ended the truck. Her vehicle then was hit from behind by another truck, pinching her between the semis.
With these three vehicles blocking both lanes, seven other vehicles became enmeshed in the accident scene.
Four people were injured.
The crash blocked westbound Interstate 90 for more than 12 hours
