VETERANS: Dems do them disservice

Senate Democrats passed a bill that will reduce retired military benefits by $6 billion over 10 years. Senate Republicans attempted to block the cuts to pensions of military retirees but their attempt failed. Sen. Jeff Sessions, Republican from Alabama, wrote a bill to undo the cuts made by the Democrats, but the Democrats blocked the bill.

Sessions wanted to eliminate an estimated $4.2 billion in annual budget spending by reining in an IRS credit that illegal immigrants have claimed. Yes, the Democrats are taking funds away from military retirees and allowing them to be given to illegal immigrants. By blocking Sen. Sessions’ bill, the Democrats have voted to cut pensions for wounded warriors and all retired military personnel.

I think every Democrat in the country should be ashamed of their leadership in Washington. They give preference to illegal immigrants and do a great disservice to the men and women who have protected this country, giving their lives, their limbs and their souls for what used to be America.
