TROY — A 38-year-old Kalispell man spent Christmas Day in jail after being charged with burglary, kidnapping and unlawful restraint after an overnight altercation at a Troy mobile home.
Jeffrey Freund, 38, has been charged for the incident that began Monday evening and was resolved by 9 a.m. Tuesday. The case involved a Libby woman who Freund took to the Troy mobile home and allegedly assaulted.
Lincoln County Sheriff Roby Bowe said the woman was taken to St. John’s Lutheran Hospital in Libby.
“We know she was an ex-girlfriend of his,” Bowe said. “He says she went willingly. She says she did not. This case is still under investigation.”
Freund is jailed at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
