TRADITIONS: Don't nibble them away

In the movie “Gladiator,” Juda says to Maximus, “You have a great name. They must first kill your name before they can kill you.” That has been the decades old modus operandi for socialists in America.

Saul Alinsky writes: “Any revolutionary change must be proceded [sic] by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people.” “… once you organize people around something as commonly agreed upon as pollution, then an organized people is on the move. From there it’s short and natural step to political pollution …”

An example is the constant attack on American values such as celebrating ‘holidays’ instead of Christmas and New Years. I never say happy holidays. My awareness of these liberal/progressive/socialist attacks began after watching a televised John Kerry as he testified in front of Congress calling American soldiers baby killers. The attacks on American military personnel for carrying out orders in Vietnam issued by Lyndon Johnson was disgusting, for it was he who began to send those combat soldiers there. Not Eisenhower. Not Kennedy. Not Nixon. The continued ‘nibbling’ at American tradition(s) is the attempt to defame the powerful name of the United States of America before the nation itself can be killed.

The tenth rule of the ethics of means and ends is that you do what you can with what you have, and clothe it with moral garments.

(From Saul Alinsky’s Rules For Radicals ... “A pragmatic primer for realistic radicals.”) Excerpts from the book can no longer be found on the Internet because of copywrite infringements; however the book can still be purchased on Amazon. Therein contains the socialist plan for the demise of this great country. Punch holes in its weaknesses. Make an issue of mistakes, and of course create some of your own so you can ‘help’ solve them. Attack traditional religious celebrations such as singing Christmas carols and praying in schools. Remove religion from all public forums, for it is an obstruction to the socialist agenda. Use the Constitution as a weapon to destroy the rule of law by transforming it into a suicide pact (remark courtesy of Mark Levin). Put forth programs to ‘help’ the poor and enact them into law forcing everyone to participate. Remind you of a law we now face? Attack those dastardly rich people as they are an easy target of the jealous of us. The small problem here is that there are rich people on both ends of the political spectrum. When someone asked political commentator Mike Barone what transformed him from a liberal to a conservative, he answered in one word, “Detroit.” He was born in Highland Park (1944) which is surrounded by the city of Detroit and he saw first hand what decades of liberal/progressive/socialist governing did to it. There is continued sniping, seemingly hateful at times, at each other on The Press editorial page about the beliefs, opinions and views of political shenanigans of parties and politicians. To what end?

We should be asking why these things are happening. Power? Money? Revolution? To change minds? Changing the direction the country is in might make more sense. I believe that there are no longer political parties in the nation’s capitol, only professional politicians and taxpayers pay the tab for their pensions and benefits. As Ralph Kramden would say, “POW, right in the kisser!”
