ROYAL CITY - In a school construction update yesterday, the Royal School Board heard from business manager David Andra about a quality control process regarding the new intermediate school.

On Monday, Dec. 16, Andra said, the district participated in a value engineering meeting. The architects presented the building plans to school representatives, the construction manager, and a diverse team of engineers.

The goal of the meeting was for everybody to ask questions, troubleshoot potential problems, and come up with ideas on how to save money and get the best building possible for the money. The district expects to get the full report back the first week of January.

The district also launched a new website to update the community on the history and progress of the construction project.

The link can be found on the district's website www.royal.wednet.edu.
