Allen, Holland, Morgan push Eureka past T-Falls

EUREKA — The Eureka girls shot 4 for 4 from 3-point range in the first half to bury Thompson Falls 65-29 on senior night in a basketball battle at the top of District 7B on Saturday.

Carli Allen scored 18 points, Alex Holland scored 13 and Cassidy Morgan netted 12 for the Lady Lions (6-1 in conference and 9-7 overall).

POLSON — The No. 3 Columbia Falls girls took off in the second half, pulling away from Polson for a Northwestern A win.

Haley Belgarde scored 12 points and Winter Kemppainen scored 10 for the Wildkats (6-0 NW-A, 12-4 overall). Columbia Falls outscored Polson 26-11 in the second half to stay undefeated in conference action.

Anna DiGiallonardo scored nine to lead the Pirates (2-3, 4-10).

BOZEMAN — Flathead Valley Homeschool wrapped up regular-season Montana Christian Athletic Association play on Friday with a 41-20 victory over Mt. Ellis.

On Thursday, FVHS beat Gallatin Valley Home School 50-42.

Maggie Rajkowski hit a 3 against Gallatin Valley in the second half for her 1,001-career point. The FVHS standout finished the game with 23.

Hannah Seely led the Crusaders in scoring versus Mt. Ellis with 13.

FVHS (17-10 overall) will compete in the MCAA state tournament in Helena on Feb. 14-16.

POLSON — The Wildcats kept pace atop the Northwestern A with a conference win at Polson.

Columbia Falls (5-1 NW-A, 10-5 overall) forced the Pirates into turnovers in the second half, outscoring them 31-19 in the final two quarters. Jared Trinastich scored 14 points and Luke Kazlauskas had 10 to lead the Cats to victory.

Riley Sampson and Cedrick Smith each had eight for Polson (0-5, 4-10).

EUREKA — Baptiste Seynauve scored 15 points and three Blue Hawk players got into double digits to beat Eureka on the road in a 7B game.

The Lions (0-7 7B, 0-16 overall) fell behind in the second quarter and never were able to climb all the way back. Tanner Blankers scored 16 points to lead Eureka.
