Dean’s lists
Ariel Ramstad, of Columbia Falls, was named to the fall semester 2012 dean’s list at Gonzaga University, in Spokane, Wash. Students must earn a 3.5 to 3.69 grade-point average to be listed.
Three Columbia Falls area students were named to the Montana State University-Billings fall 2012 dean’s list. Undergraduate students are named who earn 12 or more credits and who earn a grade point average of 3.50 or better. They are Amanda Milliard, Jinise Osborne 4.0 and Lindsay Osler-Caudle 4.0.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
