FRENCHTOWN — In Divisional Wrestling for Polson High School, the Pirates wrestling team moved eleven wrestlers on to the State Tournament in Billings this weekend. Senior Craig Feistner and Junior Carlos Quinones won Divisional championships at their weights. Cody Hedeen and Dylan Moll took 2nd, Tel Motichka and Mike Corrigan were 3rd. Jaben Wenzel, Alex Helgeson, Tel Seemann, and Isaiah Williams finished in 4th Place.
“We did not wrestle up to our potential. Our younger guys seemed a little overwhelmed with the idea of wrestling to get to state. We lost several one-point matches that could have easily went our way. I just wish we could re-wrestle the tournament. I know we could turn a few of those around our way. The good news is that we are moving eleven wrestlers on to the State Tournament and all but one will be with us next season. I like our chances of putting some guys on the podium at Billings.”
