Sports on TVs everywhere, a steamed towel treatment and, of course, haircuts from guy-smart stylists will be offered at Sport Clips Haircuts. The new business opens Friday in a 1,400- square-foot store that used to be Cost-Cutters next to Tully's Coffee (between Albertson's and Rite Aid) in Prairie Shopping Center, Hayden.

While haircuts are $17 for men and $14 for boys younger than 10, customers can upgrade to the MVP Experience, which adds a shampoo, hot-steamed towel, Tea Tree treatment, a face and scalp massage and neck trims between haircuts. New clients, which everyone will be now, can upgrade for free.

With eight to 10 employees, owners are Scott and Diana Colgrove, who came to North Idaho from Whitefish, Mont., and enjoy "the small-town feel, beautiful lakes and friendly people here."

With its headquarters in Georgetown, Texas, since 1993, Sport Clips has about 1,000 stores in 42 states. Open hours here are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays, 9 to 6 Saturdays and 11 to 5 Sundays. Phone 762-6655.

Lakeshore Decor in move mode

A move by Lakeshore Decor will combine its store, warehouse and drapery operations into a single location at 2402 N. Government Way.

The new location formerly was Shull's Cyclery and is next to Shull's Lock & Key.

The store offers all aspects of home interiors, showcasing home furnishings, custom drapery, gifts and decor. All inventory is 20 percent off during the move from 1844 N. Government Way and during the first weeks of the move, which will be March 1. The move allows the expansion of host business Vanhoff Garden Center. Watch for details on this soon.

Lakeshore Decor owners and sisters Melissa Cheney and Genca Cheney have had the business eight years with assistance from their mother and seamstress Brenda Cheney. Hours until the move are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, and after the move they'll be 10 to 5 weekdays and 11 to 4 Saturdays.

Phone 762-5069. Check www.lakeshoredecor.com/articles.

Minn Kota seeks outlet

He answers the phone "Minn Kota Mike," but Mike Klug is retiring from the Minn Kota trolling motors repair business. So the Minn Kota company is looking for a new Minn Kota man in North Idaho. The difference is that Klug has done the business out of his home at 1311 E. Linden Ave. for 18 years.

Minn Kota wants a new representative who will have a storefront for its motors and accessories. With its headquarters in Racine, Wis., Minn Kota is a division of Johnson Outdoors, Inc. Klug plans to retire March 29. Phone 664-2753. Check www.minnkotamotors.com.

Now we have the Tidbits

- Watch for details next week on the move of KTigers Taekwondo.

- Rather than Feb. 15 as previously reported, the moving date for Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts from Government Way to Silverlake Mall will be March 8.

- And we'll have more Silverlake Mall news also. And about the new downtown Subway.

- Ah, the pay-it-forward story last week actually was from the Fiesta Mexicana Restaurant at Appleway and Fourth Street.

- Hmm, with the weather is it winter or spring? Notice that seasons of the year are not capitalized.

- Last week we took from a press release that breakfasts at the under-construction Springhill Suites Hotel would be "complementary."

It should have been "complimentary," readers corrected.

- It was well publicized that last week's super Super Bowl was the third-most watched TV show ever. Well, Nos. 1 and 2 were the Super Bowls of 2011 and 2010. I bet the combined network news reports of 9-11 had more viewers though.

- You don't need a parachute to skydive. You need it to skydive twice.

- Half of all Americans live within 50 miles of their birthplace. Hmm. Yep. Mine is Spokane.
