Libby water customers may now pay their bills with a credit or debit card. The service began Feb. 1.
Water customers may pay at City Hall or go online to www.paygov.us to complete the transaction. Customers then will go the “make a payment” tab, indicate Montana in the state inquiry section and then move to City of Libby.
The service will charge customers a $3 fee for bills up to $100 and for bills exceeding $100, 3 percent of the total transaction. Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards are accepted.
For those people who want to make walk-up payments, City Hall is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Card payments may be made there, as well as traditional means of cash or check. Also, there still will be a payment drop box at City Hall for after-hours drop-offs.
Customers without a computer may call the service at 866 480-8552 to make a payment through the debit and credit-card system.
