North Valley Hospital recently received the Women’s Choice Award from WomenCertified, a watchdog group for female consumers. The award recognizes the hospital as one of the 2013 Best Hospitals for Patient Experience in Obstetrics.
The award is based on clinical data and exceptional scores for patient recommendation in the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey. WomenCertified also awarded North Valley Hospital as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Experience overall.
The scoring incorporates research on customer satisfaction among women conducted by WomenCertified, including a joint study with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Hospitals do not apply or pay for this national recognition.
North Valley Hospital is one of 350 hospitals nationwide to be recognized for their care in obstetrics. The hospital, which draws families from both the local area and out-of-state, had 482 births during fiscal year 2012. For more information, visit online at www.nvhosp.org.
