Juanita DeHaven, 92, passed away at Heritage Place in Kalispell on Feb. 6, 2013.
Juanita was born in Ravia, Okla., on Aug. 6, 1920, to James and Willie Mae Woodard. The family later moved to Thermopolis, Wyo., where she met and married James C. DeHaven in 1947. They raised three sons in Thermopolis until 1965, when the family moved to Libby.
Jim and Juanita lived in Libby until James’ passing in 1981. A few years later Juanita moved to Kalispell.
Juanita was a kind, loving person. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was an amazing seamstress; she could make anything with a needle and thread. She loved working in her garden, growing flowers and vegetables.
She is survived by her three sons, James Edward DeHaven of Washington, Thomas Dee DeHaven and Beth of Washington and Robert William DeHaven of Libby; her sister, Carman Schultz, of Wyoming; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. today, Feb. 12, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.
