More than $1,000 in prizes will be given away during the Inland Northwest Bride Expo on Feb. 28 at the Hagadone Event Center.

There will be a chance to win a wedding dress by Storybook Bridal, $500 toward a stay at the Blackwell Hotel, and packages at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.

Event coordinator Andreas John said brides and attendees can enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres while browsing the 35 vendor booths at the event.

Vendors include all aspects of planning a wedding, including photography, cakes, caterers, videography, dresses, tuxes and DJs.

There will be two fashion shows.

The Expo is 4-8 p.m.

"You'll enjoy a presentation of this year's hottest wedding attire in a professional fashion show," John said.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in advance at 664-0219 or at The Press, 201 N. Second St.

VIP tickets are $30, with entry at 3 p.m.

Fashion show times are 5:15 and 6:30.

The event is sponsored by Blackwell Hotel.
