Lady Tigers look to make a statement at district tournament

The St. Regis Lady Tiger basketball team had a rough week of games as they ended the regular season facing off against Superior and Hot Springs. On Thursday, the Superior Bobcats rolled into St. Regis to face a Tiger squad without any support from the bench. The tough Bobcats handed the Tigers a loss in convincing fashion. St. Regis hit the road to face Hot Springs and led by a point going into what Head Coach Damian Droessler calls “win time” but failed to seal the victory in the critical fourth quarter. “We look to learn from our mistakes as we lost a one point lead heading into win time against Hot Springs,” Coach Droessler said. With the district tournament coming up Coach Droessler said the teams expectations will not change in spite of the two loses. “We want to make a statement at districts,” Coach Droessler said. “We know the competition will be extremely tough and we look forward to the challenge it brings.”
