The Montana Wooden Boat Foundation, a local non-profit organization headquartered in Lakeside, is seeking donations of gently used electric and hand-powered hand tools for its new Wood Boat Building Center.

The Foundation provides boat building programs and classes for Flathead Valley Students, individuals and small groups.

It is currently offering two after school activities programs; a model boat-building program for younger students at Lakeside Elementary School and boat building Program at Somers Middle School where students are building a 12-foot rowing skiff to raise money for the Lakeside-Somers PTA.

The Foundation will be offering open classes for the public at its boat building center in early spring.

Unused and unwanted tools may be donated to the program by contacting Alex Berry at 471-2293, or email alex.b@montanawoodenboatfoundation.org.
