This exercise was part of a four-day Confined Space Rescue School led by Capt. Rob Cherot of the Kalispell Fire Department, which involved firefighters from Kalispell, Whitefish, Fairfield, and Missoula. Attendees had to demonstrate proficiency in rescuing victims both in and out of confined spaces to receive certification from the National Fire Protection Association as professional rescuer/confined space technicians.
