Wanda E. Jaqueth, 85, of Libby

Wanda Emma (Mourar) Jaqueth, 85, passed away of natural causes peacefully at her home in Libby on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013.

Wanda was born April 10, 1927, at Ronan to George and Janice Mourar, where she and her brother were raised. 

After moving to Libby, Wanda met Bob Jaqueth, and they were married in 1949. In 1950, Bob and Wanda joined the family business, Jaqueth’s, Inc., where she worked for a number of years. 

Wanda was a passionate Christian, proud American, loving companion and mother. She was a lover of nature and animals, and shared that love by being a Boy and Girl Scout leader. Wanda was a member of the Eastern Star, the Modern Arts Club of Libby, the Republican Party and was involved in the First Presbyterian Church and the Faith Bible Church in Libby.

Survivors include a son,  Mark Jaqueth of Missoula; four daughters, Jan (Cody) Turpen of Tulsa, Okla., Lynn Jaqueth of Libby, Brooke Jaqueth of Missoula, Amanda (John) Lacek of Gillette, Wyo.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, a brother, George, and an infant daughter.

Arrangements are under the direction of Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Homes and Crematory.

A celebration of her life will be held in Libby, in late July 2013.
