A 17-year-old Kalispell girl is headed to the Riverside Youth Correctional Facility in Boulder after violating her probation.

Skyla Komeotis was initially placed on probation until at least the age of 18 on Sept. 30, 2012, after admitting to a felony charge of burglary as well as misdemeanor charges of partner or family member assault, accountability to theft, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, obstructing a peace officer, privacy in communications and assault.

She had been involved in crimes with Matthew Hauck, 15, Martin City, as well as his brother, James Smith, 13, Hungry Horse, who has since been sent to Pine Hills Youth Correctional Facility after admitting to four felonies and seven misdemeanors.

According to a court document filed by the youth probation office, Komeotis violated the conditions of her release and probation by not charging her GPS monitoring device, leaving her home without the permission of her probation officer, an allegation by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that she committed theft and assault by coercion, intimidation or threat, and hiding from law enforcement when they stopped at her residence.

Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry said one of the unapproved trips Komeotis made outside of her home was to attend Cabin Fever Days in Martin City.

In addition to being sent to Boulder, Komeotis was told at her hearing during youth court proceedings Friday that she must join in paying more than $1,800 in restitution and a $324 administrative fee. The court also recommended she undergo chemical dependency treatment.

Komeotis, Hauck, Smith, Daniel Trenk, 16, Coram, and Christian Close, 16, Hungry Horse, previously amassed 60 charges for crimes committed in the Canyon.

Trenk has since pleaded guilty to a charge of felony theft after stealing a van, and Hauck is facing a new charge of misdemeanor criminal mischief after allegedly writing on the walls of the bathroom in a supermarket from which he had already been banned for stealing.
