Rick Crawford, a well known NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver, has taken over management of Montana Raceway Park, in Kalispell.

Crawford holds the record for competing in the most NASCAR Camping World Truck series races and has an extensive background in both racing and promoting racing. He most recently promoted and operated Mobile International Speedway, in Mobile, Ala.

“Before making the commitment to coming to Montana and operating Montana Raceway Park, I did some in-depth investigating and asked over 50 people about the track,” he said. “I got nothing but good words about the track and the beautiful Flathead Valley.”

Crawford and his team recently released a tentative schedule for 2013, which is headlined by the 23rd annual Coors Light Montana 200. The event has featured more than 50 drivers in past years vying for more than $50,000 in prize money.

The 2013 schedule also features two kids night events, where kids under 12 will be able to ride in real race cars. New this season, kids will be able to race their bikes and compete on the high-banked asphalt track.
