Three school board seats up for election
Hungry Horse News | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 12 years, 1 month AGO
Three positions on the School District 6 board of trustees will be up for election on May 7. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. that day at Glacier Gateway Elementary School, West Glacier School and Canyon Elementary School.
The three-year terms of Gail Pauley, Barbara Riley and Larry Wilson will expire in May. Pauley represents the high school district only as West Glacier has a school through the eighth grade. Candidates for her position must live within the West Glacier school district.
If the three trustees choose to run for re-election and nobody challenges them, they will be seated by acclamation and no election will be held.
Interested candidates must file by March 28 to be placed on the ballot. Nominating petitions and other necessary paperwork can be obtained from school district clerk Dustin Zuffelato, call 892-6550 ext. 430, or online at www.sd6.k12.mt.us.
