Western B divisional tournament: Eureka girls roll in opener

The Eureka Lady Lions downed St. Ignatius 51-31 in the opening round of the Western B divisional tournament at Flathead High School Tuesday.
The top seed from District 7B, Eureka turned a 9-all tie into an eight-point lead in the second quarter, then pulled away in the third when it outscored St. Ignatius 15-2.
Cassidy Morgan led Eureka with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Carli Allen contributed 10 points.
Steph Lewandowski scored a game-high 19 points for St. Ignatius.
Eureka will play Missoula Loyola tomorrow in a semifinal at 9:15 p.m. St. Ignatius will take on Bigfork in a loser-out contest at 9:40 a.m.

Bailee Senecal and Michele Christnacht each scored 15 points to lead a balanced Deer Lodge offense. Dani Walker scored 10 and Shayla Therriault eight.
Felicia Earhart led Plains with 17 points.
Deer Lodge will play Florence in a semifinal today at 7:30 p.m. Plains and Thompson Falls will meet in a loser-out game today at 8 a.m.
