Hot Springs season ends

The Savage Heat and Lady Savage Heat ended their seasons this past weekend at their respective District Tournaments, losing out to county rival Noxon (boys) and Charlo (girls).

For the Savage Heat, the boys went into overtime play against Noxon on Saturday, and lost 58-51. Sophomore Jarod White led the Savage Heat in scoring, with 10 points. Teammates Dave Cross had nine, Pavlo Zahora had seven, Tanner Hoff had six, Jimmy Holland had six, Wyatt Nagy posted five, Mike Gray put in four, Lane Foster put in two, and Nate Gray posted two.

The loser out game was a hard-fought battle between two talented squads.

The Lady Savage Heat faced off against Charlo on Saturday and lost, 41-11. Charlo got an early jump on the score, and kept the pace up to a point Hot Springs couldn’t break their slump. Josey Carr led in scoring for the Lady Savage Heat with six points, followed by Meara Schmiedbauer with three, and Alyssa Foster with two. The loser out game ended the girls’ season, standing at 6-15.
