DEER: Live and leave them alone

One writer recently asserted that the deer around here are a complete nuisance. I’ll be nice and not mention the name.

I only wonder how much of a nuisance us humans have been to the deer, and to the other wildlife that have been driven off “their property” as newcomers continue to flock up to this area.

The only difference is that us humans are able to defend our property. This was recently proven true by some uneducated, trigger-happy moron(s) in the Dalton Gardens area. “Uneducated” means not being taught to eat what you shoot, and not to shoot a firearm within city limits — my humble opinion only. The “moron” part speaks for itself.

Interesting enough how the grass burning and the deer never seemed to be a problem 30 years ago, especially before everyone and their dog discovered beautiful North Idaho.

So here’s some friendly advice from someone who’s proud to be a North Idaho native: You can take it or leave it. If you don’t wish to be all cramped up in a plane with a screaming kid on board, then don’t fly commercially. And if you don’t like the deer or other wildlife in your front or back yard, then don’t live in North Idaho. In other words, quit your whining.
