Osburn man arrested on five counts of lewd conduct

OSBURN - A 71-year-old Osburn man was arrested Wednesday for five counts of lewd conduct with a minor child under the age of 16.
Edward Phillip Hunter was taken into custody by the Osburn Police Department and later released after posting his $25,000 bond.
According to court documents, counts one and four, Hunter is accused of consisted of lewd conduct with a minor occurred between Sept. 1, 2012, and Dec. 31, 2012, when he allegedly committed a "lewd and lascivious" act with a minor female of only 10 years old.
The second and fifth counts were the same victim and of the same nature. Hunter allegedly had the lewd conduct between Jan. 1 and Jan. 7 of 2013.
The third count Hunter is accused of occurred between Sept. 1, 2012 and was the same 10-year-old victim, and Jan. 7, 2013. The count alleges Hunter did have sexual contact but it did not amount to lewd conduct.
Hunter was before Judge Daniel McGee Thursday and issued a written plea of not guilty, according to the Idaho Repository.
