'Caddyshack' fundraiser to aid school

Tee time has been set for the showing of the film “Caddyshack” March 16 at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.
A donation of $12 is the suggested admission price, with all of the proceeds benefiting the Whitefish Community School.
Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with beer and wine courtesy of Great Northern Brewery, Big Sky Brewery and Intermountain Distributing, along with barbecue provided by Ed McGrew BBQ, sides by Tim Good and Cuisine Machine, and homemade desserts courtesy of Whitefish Community School parents.
There may even be doughnuts, but a doughnut with no hole is a Danish.
Socialize while bidding on items such as golf outings, dining packages, jewelry, art, photography and other desirables in the silent auction, generously donated by area businesses.
Prizes will be awarded to the best likeness of a cast member from the 1980s flick. What look best suits you? Perhaps pompous Judge Smails, caddy Danny Noonan, playboy Ty Webb, obnoxious Al Czervick or an at-war-with-the-gophers greenskeeper Carl Spackler. Come dressed as your “Caddyshack” favorite for the costume contest portion of the evening.
Think you’re ready to put your knowledge of movie trivia to the test? Brush up on your lines for another opportunity to take home more goodies for shouting out correct answers.
Then get ready to test your prowess on the putting green. Chances are good you won’t go home empty-handed. So you’ve got that going for you, which is nice.
Whitefish Community School Board President Kristen Pulsifer encourages people with or without preschool children attending the school to join in on the fun at the “Caddyshack” movie night, adding, “The Whitefish Community School works hard every year to create a great time for a great cause. This year’s event is sure to deliver on both accounts.”
Event director and Whitefish Community School parent Katie Carlson added, “Since its inception, the Whitefish Community School has been instrumental in the growth and early childhood education of our community's children. [Money] raised from our annual fundraiser goes back to the Whitefish Community School to benefit the children. Thank you to all the businesses that donated items in support of the Whitefish Community Classics Fundraiser.”
