Chiefs top 'Tips for 3rd straight win

EVERETT, Wash. - Brenden Kichton scored two goals to lead the Spokane Chiefs past the Everett Silvertips 4-1 in Western Hockey League play Wednesday night in front of 3,486 at Comcast Arena.
Spokane (37-24-2, 76 points), which has won three straight games, remains one point behind idle Tri-City for fourth place in the Western Conference and sits seven points ahead of sixth-place Victoria.
Todd Fiddler scored his 40th goal of the season, becoming the fifth Chiefs player in six years to accomplish that feat.
Carter Proft opened the scoring in the first period for Spokane, which outshot Everett 29-26.
Garret Hughson had 25 saves for Spokane, which travels to Victoria for games on Friday and Saturday night against the Royals.
