Polson boys fall to Loyola in basketball

POLSON — Riley Sampson had a monster game for Polson — 22 points and 19 rebounds — but it still wasn’t enough to help the Pirates pick up a nonconference boys basketball victory on Saturday, losing to Missoula Loyola 57-54.

Polson (2-4) trailed by one with 10 seconds left, but Loyola scored on a layup to ice it.

FRENCHTOWN — Kraig Nelson scored a game-high 27 points to lead Libby (2-6, 0-3), but the Loggers couldn’t keep up in the fourth quarter, dropping their third straight Northwestern A conference game.
