Haven’t quite finished “The Book Thief” yet? You’ve been granted at two-week reprieve.

The Bad Rock Book Discussion Group was slated to discuss Markus Zusak’s novel tonight, but the monthly meeting has been postponed due to scheduling conflicts. The group will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 24.

“The Book Thief” tells the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich, Germany, during World War II. Liesel ekes out a living for herself by stealing, and then she uncovers something she can’t resist — books.

“It holds the attention well and should make for an interesting discussion,” book club member Kasey Kephart said in an email to This Week in the Flathead.

All are welcome to attend the meeting at Bad Rock Books on Nucleus Avenue in Columbia Falls. Call Carol Rocks at 892-0515 for additional information.
