The Nonprofit Development Partnership is hosting its annual Nonprofit Town Hall on Thursday, Jan. 10, a listening session with a focus on successes and challenges ahead for the Flathead’s nonprofit community in 2013.
Participants will reflect on issues including the economy, charitable giving, the Montana Endowment Tax Credit, local capital campaigns, and nonprofit accountability. The town hall will focus on sharing ideas for thriving as a nonprofit sector
“Our annual Town Hall comes at a time of big questions for the nonprofit community,”said Ned Cooney, Program Director for NpDP. “For instance, what will the economy be like for the Flathead?”
The Flathead Nonprofit Development Partnership provides educational programs, information resources, and networking opportunities to improve the effectiveness of nonprofit organizations in northwest Montana. NpDP offers monthly brown bag seminars, networking opportunities and special educational events for board members and nonprofit leaders. More information about the Nonprofit Development Partnership can be found at NpDP.org. NpDP is supported by the Sustainability Fund of the Flathead Community Foundation.
The meeting is facilitated by Ed Myers, a community volunteer who first arrived in the Flathead in 1982. He is a retired college administrator and continues as an instructor in higher education administration. He serves as one of the founding members of the NpDP Steering Committee.
The free town hall will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Museum at Central School at 124 First Avenue East in Kalispell.
Individuals and organizations are welcome to attend, and are asked to RSVP to ensure enough handouts and seating at the workshop. RSVPs can be emailed to rsvp@npdp.org or left as a message at 756-3618. There is no cost to attend thanks to the support of The Sustainability Fund, and attendees may bring a brown bag lunch. More details about the workshop can be found at NpDP.org.
