Ralph James Flammond, 70

Ralph James Flammond passed away Jan. 6, 2013, in Kalispell, from a brief, but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born in Oct. 5, 1942, to Henry and Mary Flammond in Babb. He attended elementary school in Babb and high school in Browning.

After high school he worked as a mechanic and heavy equipment operator, until finding his career job as a gas service man with Northwestern Energy Co., where he retired with 25 years service.

In 1974 Ralph married Janice Carver. They were blessed with a son they named Jim. They later divorced and Ralph married Norma Caizza who passed away in 2003.

One of Ralph's passions in life was building and restoring classic cars. He also enjoyed fishing and playing guitar with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma; parents, Henry and Mary Flammond; sisters, Geri Monroe and Connie Higgins; and brother, Everett Flammond.

Ralph is survived by his son, Jim, and wife, Amy Flammond, and their children, Kassy, Luke and Gabe, of Kalispell; and sisters, Jean Smith of Great Falls, Jan Petersen of Cut Bank and Gail Flammond of Anchorage, Alaska.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, at The River Church, 859 W. Reserve Dr., Kalispell, with a reception following.
