A fundraiser held last week at Santorini's Greek Cuisine in Coeur d'Alene raised $3,006 to help defray rising medical costs faced by the family of 11-year-old Riley Stevens. The Hayden boy was diagnosed last fall with aplastic anemia, a serious blood disorder.

The restaurant's owners, Dino and Fotini Tsakarestos, prepared and donated the food - gyros and Greek salads - and opened their Government Way dining room up for the special event. The funds were raised in three hours, with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to Riley's family.
