Shirley Ann Knight, 61, of Hungry Horse, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013.
Shirley was born to William and Edith (Jones) Estes, March 1, 1951, in Casper, Wyo. She was the second of six children.
Shirley married the love of her life, Bobby Ray Knight, after being together for 45 years. They had four children Regina, Ryan, Nicholas and Cindy.
Shirley enjoyed bingo, camping, traveling, family and, most of all, her grandchildren. Shirley was the most caring person in the world; her door was always open to all and her motto was “if I can, I will.”
Mom always wanted to go to the big bingo in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, but luck was not on her side. Mom got lung cancer and passed away a month later.
“Mom, we love you so much. You were the most beautiful person inside and out. We will never forget that. You have taught us to be the best that we can. We hated to let you go, but we have comfort of knowing that you are back with the love of your life, Dad.
We will see you on the other side, Mom.”
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; father, William; sister, Sharon; and best friends of a lifetime, Dennis Young and Darlene Knight.
Shirley is survived by her children, daughter Regina, grandchildren Bobbie and husband Nathan, great-grandchildren Isaac and Breanne and unborn child, Terance and wife Jessica and great-grandchildren Boston and Blake; son Ryan, Shiree and grandchildren Kalynn, Mariah and Bryan; son Nicholas, grandchildren Nicholas, Hunter and Trenton; daughter Cindy, Roddy and grandson Clay; daughter Jolene, grandchildren Cheyenne and Derek; her mother Edith; and brother Jim, and nieces Sabrina and Lisa; sister Carol, nephews Marco Torres and Jerry Hilton; sister Judy, niece Janelle, nephew Brett; brother Carl and wife Charlene and niece Carly; brother-in-law, Donald Knight; and numerous nieces and nephews; and great friends, Dan and Chris Catron, Nolan and Echo, Justin, Teka and Megan.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Columbia Mortuary, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls.
