Flathead Valley Community College will provide low-to-moderate income individuals, families, and senior citizens free tax assistance and preparation through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program in partnership with Community Action Partnership from Feb. 8 through April 12.

Flathead area volunteers who have trained to become Internal Revenue Service certified tax preparers will prepare the tax forms.

Tax preparations are conducted Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in room 236 inside the Arts and Technology Building on the FVCC campus. Electronic filing and direct deposit services are available.

Community members are asked to provide photo identification, W-2 and 1099 forms, Social Security cards for all family members or dependents being claimed, last year’s tax returns, checking and savings account numbers, records of additional income, childcare provider’s tax identification numbers, and all other tax documents.

For more information, call 756-3372.
