On Saturday, two boys and two girls from Bigfork, ages 10 to 14, were named local champions of the 2013 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship and earned the right to compete at the district level.

Miranda Campbell was the 14-year-old girls’ champion and Jonathan Landon was the winner of the 14-year-old boys’ division. In the 11-year-olds’ bracket, K.C Isaman was the boys’ champion and Jamie Berg was named the 13-year-old girls’ division champion.

Each contestant was allowed 15 free throw attempts in the contest.

This was the third year in a row Council 14060 in Bigfork sponsored the local competition at Bigfork High School.

Each of these winners will compete in the district competition to be held in February with an eye toward moving on to the state and international levels.
