Bigfork’s Zachary Clary, Amy Gembala and Roxanne Thurman, and Somers’ Maggie Sirucek were among the 496 students listed on the University of Montana Western’s Dean’s List for the fall 2012 semester.

Students had to earn a 3.33 grade point average or higher to make the list.

The University of Montana Western in Dillon is the first and only public four-year university in the nation to use block scheduling in which students take a single class at a time, three hours per day for 18 days. Under this system, students earn the same amount of credits over a semester as in traditional scheduling models.
