COEUR d’ALENE — An anonymous caller led police to the discovery of several stolen firearms in a Dumpster.

Police received a telephone tip from a female that the guns stolen in the TKS Painting burglary on Jan. 29 were in a Dumpster near West Kathleen and Ramsey Road, according to a press release.

The female indicated they were the same guns that were reported in the newspaper as stolen in the burglary, then hung up.

Detectives found three shotguns, two rifles, and a .357 magnum handgun in the Dumpster at a car wash.

Two of the shotguns recovered were not reported stolen by TKS Painting. Detectives are trying to determine who owns those guns.

All of the weapons have been secured into evidence at the police department.

If anyone has any information on this crime, call police, 769-2320.
